Is Fox Rent A Car a Good Choice?
As a company that focuses on price-conscious travelers, Fox may not offer the same premium experience as more corporate brands like National or Avis. However, you may very well have a good experience if all you’re looking for is a vehicle for a good price without many bells and whistles.
Fox has racked up a number of complaints on BBB over the past years and has some negative reviews online, but it does have a good score on Trustpilot and seems to be responding to negative customer reviews.
In AutoSlash’s Ultimate Rental Car Ratings, we give Fox 3.5 out of 5 stars. We consider it a “Tier 3” company, a category typically indicative of smaller brands with mostly reliable service.
When you rent from Fox or any other rental car company, we recommend making sure that you document the condition of the car in detail before driving it off the lot to avoid any issues with damage claims later on. Also, be sure to read the terms and conditions outlined in your contract extra carefully. In addition, make sure that the total charges matches the quote you received. Be sure to check that unwanted add-ons were not tacked on to your reservation that will hike up your costs.
