Dreaming of a cross-country road trip that won’t break the bank? The Hertz family of companies (Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty) is so motivated to move its fleets from west to east over the next couple of weeks that it has put a fantastic one-way car rental deal on the table.
Here’s how it works: Pick up a rental car at one of the listed locations out west and drop it off at one of the designated locations further east. You’ll pay a discounted rate as low as $9.99 per day for up to 10 days. With average gas prices well below $2.50 per gallon, this is a major cost-savings opportunity for folks who can plan quick and start their trip by the middle of February.
Rates begin at $9.99 per day, regardless if you rent through Hertz, Thrifty or Dollar.
The offer is valid for pickups through February 16, 2021 for one-way rentals only. You can rent the car for a minimum of one day up to a maximum of 10 consecutive days.
All three brands offer the following west coast pickup locations: Fresno, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Thrifty and Dollar also offer Portland as a pickup location.
For all three brands, vehicles may be returned to these participating states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC.
Don’t see your desired return location listed? Ask AutoSlash for a quote and see if the deal will work anyway. The AutoSlash team has seen a limited number of unlisted return locations with these promotional cross-country rates.
